The New York Tower by SHoP Architects is Envisioned to Be 1,421 Feet Tall
Kalin Ned — September 12, 2018 — Art & Design
This New York tower is designed by local firm SHoP Architects and is currently being constructed on 111 West 57th Street. The structure is considered to be "the world's skinniest skyscraper" on a plot with a 43 feet width and, according to recent reports, the building has just received supertall status. This entails that the New York tower's construction has reached a height of 984 feet. SHoP Architects' completed designs envision the skyscraper to be 1,421 feet tall.
As for the aesthetic components of the structure, the firm leaves the north- and south-facing sides fully glazed in order to optimize views of Central Park and the Manhattan skyline.
