Here at Trend Hunter, we love our cars and when we were given the chance to head to the LA Auto Show to check out the new Lincoln MKS, we sped towards the opportunity. While at the show, Trend Hunters Olivia Gissing and Shelby Walsh managed to speak with several designers and marketers for the new Lincoln MKS, and they all had interesting things to say about the highly anticipated flagship vehicle.
Trend Hunter: Hi, I'm Shelby from Trend Hunter, and we're here at the LA Auto Show for the release of the new Lincoln MKS!
Max Wolff - Director, Lincoln Design: We've done a lot on the interior. The new instrument panel with the new center stack that incorporates the latest levels of design touch flows upward. That's a very different feeling for the interior.
TH: What can loyal fans of Lincoln who are tried and true to the brand expect from the new Lincoln MKS?
Kate Pearce - Marketing Manager: We've really spent a lot of time over the last few years listening to our consumers. What do they love about their MKS? What might they tweak? They're going to find that the engineers have thought of it all and they've created the ultimate MKS based specifically on (customer) feedback.
TH: What are the safety features of the new MKS?
Pearce: As always, top safety pick is always front and center in our mind. Whether it's our architecture or our infrastructure, the placement of airbags through the car, and even new radar-based technologies we've introduced in the vehicles. We have a new blind spot information system or our new lane keeping system. This system is so cool. You can actually have the car tell you if you're veering out of the lanes in the road. These cars are really smart, intuitive and designed to keep you safe.
Scott Tobin - Director, Lincoln Product Development: It's a major appearance refresh for the MKS. At the same time, we've given it fuel economy and power improvements. It's got some great new technology with our lane departure warning systems for safer driving.
TH: What three words would you use to describe the new Lincoln MKS?
Wolff: It's refined, elegant, and with great craftsmanship and attention to detail. Not quite three words, sorry. (laughs)
