Italian imprint Nemo Lighting unveils a new lighting design series by architects Le Corbusier and Charlotte Perriand that are both currently on display at 3 Days of Design. The Lampe Cabanon is designed by Le Corbusier and the Lampe de Bureau collection is by Perriand. The former was designed and named after his seaside cabin, which also acts as the influence behind the look as well.
CEO of Nemo Federico Palazzari speaks to Dezeen about the designs, stating "The lampshade, made from sandpaper that the architect used, was crafted from a wartime artifact – a mortar shell carrier – found on French beaches. The lamp, for which numerous sketches and designs exist, represents a moment of rebirth in the post-war world."
