The NBC Sports Gold streaming service will be available on Xfinity X1, as well as on Flex. The service launched on September 3rd and it offers sports events without ads, some of which are live. The NBC Sports Gold is different from other sports streaming services, due to its specialization. In the streaming service, users can choose which sports they would like to stream, so soccer fans could subscribe to the Premier League, or whichever sport they choose.
The new streaming service could help Xfinity cater to users who are seeking additional content. This will help Xfinity to better offer sports coverages for extremely dedicated fans. The NBC Sports Gold service was initially released in 2016 with only one product. However, now the service has expanded to offer 17 different sports "passes."
