Throughout November, TikTok will be honoring Native American Heritage Month by spotlighting its #NativeFamily of creators through a series of live videos.
The aim of the campaign is to showcase the diversity of the Native American community, while spotlighting topics related to food tradition, craftsmanship, and education. TikTok spoke to the update, stating "Native American Heritage Month is about more than acknowledgment and recognition; the diversity of backgrounds, experiences and interests across our #NativeFamily is meant to be shared, amplified and celebrated. That’s why we are inviting the TikTok community to join us as we kick off a month of educational, inspiring and uplifting programming about #NativeFamily’s beautiful culture and complex history."
To share their own videos, creators can use the hashtags #NativeTikTok, #NativeAmericanTikTok, #IndigenousPeoplesDay, and #NativeFamily.
