Many consumers are watching the latest movies from home, but this limited time promotion is being launched for National Cinema Day in the US to help get more cinephiles into theater seats. The promotion will take place on September 3, 2022 when more than 3,000 theaters across the US will sell discounted tickets priced at just $3 each. The promotion will include more than 30,000 films with all major film studio involved to help consumers see some of the latest blockbusters.
Cinema Foundation President Jackie Brennerman spoke on the National Cinema Day promotion saying, "After this summer’s record-breaking return to cinemas, we wanted to do something to celebrate moviegoing. We’re doing it by offering a ‘thank you’ to the moviegoers that made this summer happen, and by offering an extra enticement for those who haven’t made it back yet.”
