Jewelry designer Margherita Abi Hanna was heavily influenced by modernist architecture in the making of her latest collection 'My Concrete City.' The collection, which is comprised of pieces for men and women pay homage to Beirut's architectural history with jewelry featuring unique material styling of concrete and silver.
Beirut is a city which contains a rich culture that is embodied through its urban landscape, however, in recent years, the city has experienced a wave of demolishing, tearing down some of its historic buildings. In attempt to preserve the memories of these buildings, the artist is paying tribute by adopting some of the signature design features into her work.
