Spanish footwear company Munich Sports is using special displays equipped with RFID technology to help customers access information regarding shoes on display. The system consists of a screen that customers can interact with to access information about shoes that they're interested in as well as other products in the store. The screen consists of an AdvanLook interactive display and cloud-based software, which work together to enhance the shopping experience.
Each shoe on display in the store is fitted with a special RFID tag on the heel. When a customer picks up a shoe they're interested in and approaches the AdvanLook interactive display, the device reads the RFID tag and displays relevant information.
Not only has Munich Sports' interactive venture made decision-making and shopping quicker and easier for customers, but it has also served to help workers better direct their energies and, ultimately, boost the store's image as a leading innovator.
