The Mr. Mo Project is a New York state-based non-profit charity devoted to rescuing dogs from kill shelters and getting them into "fospice" care, or foster/hospice homes to live out the rest of their natural lives. As part of the dedication to canine welfare, Mr. Mo Project founders Chris and Mariesa Hughes commissioned a special hybrid bed that can sleep two people as well as a host of dogs.
As founders of a dog charity, it should come as no surprise that the Hughes' have several dogs of their own -- eight, to be precise. Seeing that the dogs had to jockey for space on their relatively small bed every night, the Hughes chose to make a small adaptation. Enlisting furniture maker Mike Ford, they extended their bed so that it can sleep all eight pups.
