Mosaic has opened a frozen food-only grocery store to debunk negative connotations associated with frozen food while promoting its DTC brand. The new grocery store has opened in Brooklyn’s Prospect Heights area, featuring a range of ‘Mosiac+’ chef-curated meals and upcoming categories. Mosaic’s online assortment of veggie bowls, family meals, soups, and oat bowls will also be available in Mosiac stores.
Mosaic hopes to influence consumers to give frozen foods a chance, disrupting the stereotype that frozen meals are the same as TV dinners. Like other big-box grocery stores, Mosaic will offer sampling events in-store while simultaneously emphasizing the brand’s sustainability efforts. Mosaic’s 700-sq ft location will showcase new products from the online brand before they hit the website, including pizzas and smoothies.
