Although the style is changing, one may still typically picture knitwear as chunky clothing that leaves every element of the wearer's physique to the imagination. However, despite the thickness of the wool used in the More or Less collection, the models are far from covered up.
As the name suggests, these sculptural hand-knitted garments present the conditioned viewer with a contradiction. Nanna van Blaaderen used plumply spun yarn to form what one may be more inclined to call chunky accessories. Of course, the models seem not to be wearing these items as embellishments, but rather as exposing apparel. The soft serpentine scarves, pointed shoulder shrugs, knotted frocks and braided bondage blouses of the More or Less collection have an exquisite exaggerated quality that perfectly compliments the smooth curves of the female form.
