The Kjaer Kobenhavn Campaign Focuses on the Dawn of Woman
Meghan Young — August 2, 2014 — Tech
The monolithic closet ads are inspired by the famous opening scene of '2001: A Space Odyssey.' But in place of the common ape, it features a cave woman who is discovering the secrets of a fashionable wardrobe. It is not surprising at the sleek piece of furniture is made to appear like the mysterious monolith of the movie. Its shape is probably what inspired the direction of the monolithic closet ads.
Conceived and executed by Ogilvy & Mather, an ad agency based in Copenhagen, Denmark, the monolithic closet ads was created for Kjaer Kobenhavn. It reads, 'Dawn of Woman.' The ad campaign was art directed by Claus Collstrup with photography by Thomas Juul and digital art by Mogens Wittrup.
