When not in use, the Moktak Portable Outdoor Speaker happens to look like a single kettlebell, a cast-iron weight often used to perform ballistic exercises. There is nothing weighty about this sound system, however. Instead, it was designed to be as light as possible so that it is easy to tote around while on the road. Not to mention that when it is in a pod, the speakers are protect from the elements.
Designed by Soohun Jung, the Moktak Portable Outdoor Speaker splits open to reveal a pair of speakers. The malleable handle that keeps the two locked together can be placed virtually anywhere be on a backpack or hung from a tree. It is a 2012 red dot award design concept winner.
