From legendary comic illustrator Moebius, aka Jean Giraud, these drawings feature mind-bending motifs. The graphics borrow highly retrospective color palettes and design techniques, making the images hard to relate to. The vintage vibe puts a greater emphasis on the surrealist composition, relieving the series of any realism.
While the compositions may not be believable, they do draw from some pop culture. One piece features a Last Supper for rock stars of sorts. A Jimi Hendrix depiction sits at the center of a long table, confronted by a sensual naked angel. Another piece features a figure jamming on an exploding instrument, morphing a pseudo Medusa into a blob-like beast.
The Moebius works are highly compositional and slightly unnerving.
