Milos Jovanovic's aptly named Road Bicycle is an ultralight bicycle designed for bicycle racers. The Road Bicycle is comprised of nine carbon fiber pieces and weighs a mere 6.9 pounds.
The nine carbon fiber pieces are hand-fit together, meaning that any extra weight that would have been added through screws or bolts is eliminated. The spokes on the rear wheel have also been removed and replaced with a colorful cover. The most interesting part of this entire design is the handlebars. The dual handlebars have a unique design featuring an adjustable upright grip. This feature, combined with the green color scheme, gives the bike a look more like that of a giant sci-fi bug (my vote goes to the praying mantis) than that of a racing bicycle.
I could easily see this design going from concept to reality based on its lightweight and eye-catching design. You can check out Milos Jovanovic's Road Bike here along with a ton of other concept bikes from the Trend Hunter archives.
