Artist Miki Mottes collaborated with Michal Or-Ad and Baram to design and illustrate the walls of an Israeli hospital. The three designers created massive wall murals of cartoon characters in humorous activities. For example, there is an octopus taking a ride on a Ferris wheel. Each door of the Pediatrics Department at the Sheba Tel Hashomer Hospital is covered in a new scene.
Miki Mottes and his partners covered the walls from the floor to the ceiling with these whimsical murals. Each image is meant to transport visitors and patients to an alternate, fantasy-inspired world of imagination and pleasant curiosity.
The idea for this project was to create a cartoon-infused setting with bright colors and smiling characters to ensure children would feel comfortable.
