Fans of classic British cars will be happy to see the MG E-Motion debut at the 2017 Shanghai Auto Show. For years MG was known for its sexy and sophisticated sports cars and roadsters. Now the brand Is Chinese-owned and builds economy cars. The MG E-Motion looks to bring the company back to its roots. The two-door is an electric car with scissor doors meant to compete with the Tesla Model S. The MG E-Motion will seat four and offer an electric range of 310 miles. Top speed wasn't revealed but it should be able to do 0 to 60 mph in less than four seconds.

Along the way it will likely lose those great butterfly doors, but so long as it still offers 300 miles of range and features a sleek and sexy profile it's unlikely consumers will care how the doors open.
