The Mesa KUBYK Ensures That No Two Living Rooms are Alike
Michael Hines — November 21, 2011 — Art & Design
At first glance, Mesa KUBYK may look like nothing more than an oversized Rubik's Cube. A closer look reveals what the Mesa KUBYK really is; an awesome set of multifunctional furniture that just happens to form the red face of a Rubik's Cube when all the pieces are aligned in the right order.
Mesa KUBYK was designed by Kaira D'or and is meant to be used however you see fit. The individual pieces have no set purpose and can be used to form everything from coffee tables to planters. I am someone who loves direction, especially with furniture, but even I can dig the freedom of the Mesa KUBYK. Assembling and rearranging furniture always feels like a chore, but it could become fun again if the individual pieces of furniture were not labeled and could be assembled as seen fit.
