Mercedes' New Suv Boasts Off-Road Capability and Hands-Free Controls
Daniel Johnson — June 12, 2019 — Autos
Mercedes' new SUV was announced at an event in Utah and is titled the 'Mercedes 2020 GLB.' The vehicle is a similar size to a crossover, however, there is an optional third row in the back of the car. The GLB comes with the company's MBUX system, which is a voice interface that gives drivers the ability to operate some of the vehicle's controls hands-free. The system will also show off-road information, displaying the vehicle angle as well as orientation.
Mercedes new SUV will be able to be driven off-road. The GLB was created as a toned down version of an off-road concept SUV and the vehicle will also have an off-road package, which can adapt to driving without asphalt underneath the tires. Other off-road features include downhill decent regulation, which acts like cruise control for steep declines.
