The Mercedes-Benz Emergency SLS AMG Takes You to the Hospital in Style
Michael Hines — May 14, 2011 — Autos
Taking a trip to a hospital in Germany could become a lot more thrilling if the Mercedes-Benz Emergency SLS AMG ever goes from concept to reality. Mercedes-Benz is planning to debut its conceptual emergency vehicle at this year’s RETTmobil emergency vehicle expo.
The Mercedes-Benz Emergency SLS AMG will have a 6.3-liter V8 engine complete with a liquid metal paint job that I can only assume makes the car go faster. As for emergency equipment in the car, Mercedes-Benz is keeping mum, but it does have flashing blue lights on the roof. Those flashing blue lights have to count for something, right?
Perhaps the coolest feature of the Mercedes-Benz Emergency SLS AMG is its gullwing doors, which can be blown off in the event of a rollover or if you really, really need to make a quick exit. Who else is stoked for this year’s RETTmobil emergency vehicle expo?
