The 'McWhopper' Offers a Truce Between McDonald’s & Burger King

The McWhopper is a proposed burger idea created by Burger King that will combine two competing burger joints' trademark sandwiches. Burger King hopes that its competitor McDonald's will agree to produce a hybrid burger titled McWhopper which aims to promote peace between the rivals.

After decades of competition between the two rival brands, this unique burger seeks to call a truce between the globally recognized companies.

In a letter that was published in the New York Times and Chicago Tribune, Burger King states that the burger will have "all the tastiest bits of the [McDonald's] Big Mac and its Whopper united in one delicious, peace-loving burger." Pending McDonald's response, the burger is said to be launched on September 21st which is recognized as ‘Peace Day.’ In addition, all proceeds from this collaboration would be donated to the non-profit organization titled Peace One Day.
