The designer of the MC Square system understands the common use and valuable potential of the whiteboard as a means to share ideas between people. The dry-erase surface has long been a go-to for scribbling down words and illustrations in order to communicate concepts in the workplace and elsewhere in daily life.
Anthony Franco's goal was thus to make this standard wall-mounted item into something much more personal and personalizable. Comprising individual square modules with separate brackets, the drawing boards can be removed from the wall for convenient use in one's lap or on a desk. This flexibility enables sketches to be exchanged between pairs, or pinned up together, exhibiting the combined work of many minds. The magnetized MC Squares can also be fixed back-to-back, and fitted with drawing templates behind the hinged glossy surface.
