Canadian designer Matthew McCormick introduces his Mila Lights that blend together two geometric shapes. The Mila Lights are a collection of pendant lighting fixtures that are comprised of a pearl glass sphere placed within a long oval metal frame. The concept that McCormick took on was to combine the two structures in what he would call as the 'perfect equilibrium.'
The lighting spheres are constructed from handblown glass diffusers, which are then placed carefully in either black satin, brass, copper, or textured white metal framing bars in a variety of lengths. McCormick wanted the Mila to be as minimalist as possible so all of the wiring systems are designed to stay hidden within the actual structures.
