Their empire is expanding, and this time, the Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen Row Jewelry line is the latest gem to the sister's collection.
They have released three rings, two anklets and one necklace, and while the collection may be small it is quaint and delicate. The Olsen twin’s collaborated with high-fashion jewelry designer Ileana Makri, who used rose and white gold as well as adorning gems to the pieces. Makri’s evil eye pendants are a signature in her own collections, and are also seen in this Mary-Kate and Ashely Olsen Row Jewelry Line for the Spring 2012.
The first ring is by far the most appealing, dazzling in exotic luxury. I, like a whole tsunami of women around the world these days, am obsessed with large pieces on my fingers. That being said, the rest of the mini Row jewelry collection does not carry the same sparkle. Something about anklets just screams, "I just backpacked India, and now spirituality and I are best buds. BTW I’m loaded." Perhaps backpackers have simply ruined anklets forever for this eyebrow-raised writer, nonetheless the insistence on the evil-eye pendant coupled with an anklet-heavy collection simply takes away from its potential at chic classiness. However, this is precisely what garners its appeals to teens.
