Polish recycled fashion brand makkireQu's collection of adornments are made out of waste paper, including that of colorful chewing-gum pieces.
The makkireQu collection consists of unique rings, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, bags and interior design objects made out of 100% waste paper. The makkireQu designer Magdalena Godawa first collects all the shiny waste paper, then she carefully weaves her constructions, which if bigger in size, are reinforced with inner wires.
Godawa preserves her objects with the use of acrylic lacquer on the creations's surface, making pieces resistant, waterproof and unbreakable.
The makkireQu brand's founder Magdalena Godawa is a well-known recycle artist in Poland who frequently participates in handicraft workshop where she shares her techniques.
