Is the Magic Hole chair aptly named? Well, it's a chair with slits in both of the armrests, so I'm going to have to say, "Yes."
The Magic Hole chair comes to us courtesy of Kartell and is designed by Philippe Starck and Eugeni Quitllet. What's unique about this four-legged butt rest is its smooth design that is abruptly halted with two holes where the arms should rest. It looks as though someone methodically hacked off parts of the chair and so sitters can get a view of its innards. Pretty weird, but also very aesthetically pleasing. I would not be surprised to see this chair being used on a futuristic movie set, even though it was designed for poolside use.
The chairs come in black, gray and white varieties, with an option to change the inlays between highly saturated orange and lime green.
