The plans for Macy's reopening takes the necessary precautions as it set to open 68 store locations in total. The layout of the store is transformed and new rules are set in place to function while meeting hygienic standards. The cash registers will have a plexiglass to separate interactions directly.
There will also be hand sanitizing stations throughout the stores with restrictions including no ear piercings or fittings for bras. As for the beauty products, there will be handle testers to monitor the process. Additionally, there will also be signs in the locations to ensure that customers and employees will keep a distance of six feet. Additional signs include reminders to cover one's mouth and nose, refrain from any physical contact, and to stay home if necessary.
