Luke Vicious' GR8 Series Features Black and White Portraiture
Riley von Niessen — November 18, 2017 — Fashion
Luke Vicious, the multitalented artist who formerly collaborated with CNTRBND on a collection of apparel, recently joined up with GR8, a retailer that's based out of Tokyo.
For GR8, Vicious hand-painted a series of portraits and other works onto the backs of different jackets and t-shirts. Included in the collection is apparel that features Snoop Dogg and other pop culture icons, retro cartoons, and slogans. In order to complement the large paintings that decorate the apparel, Luke Vicious and GR8 made use of garments that are distressed. This contributes to the modern punk aesthetic that the collection boasts, with the garments meant to look well-worn rather than brand new.
The collection is set to become available on November 18th.
