This packaging innovation could make bubble wrap a thing of the past. The punched cardboard, which replicates the star-shaped pattern made famous by Louis Vuitton, provides similar protection by creating a buffer around the item you want to keep safe from banging about.
The cool thing is that the “Paper Wrap” can be made from recycled cardboard and is in turn recyclable itself, unlike plastic bubble wrap.
I know it’s not nearly as fun as popping the plastic spheres, but looking at earth-friendly packaging alternatives like this one designed by Wonjae Lee, Sunkyu Kim and Sangjun Hahn is always a good thing.
