The conceptual 'Life Triangle Desk' is a furniture creation for the classroom that would work to offer added peace of mind for parents and protection for students in the event of a natural disaster during the school day. The desk functions as the perfect place to get work done in the classroom, but can also be quickly transitioned in the event of an earthquake or other disaster that could see debris falling. Children can simply go underneath the desk before folding the top section down to effectively stay protected from debris that could cause injury where they can stay until it's safe to come out or they are rescued.
The conceptual 'Life Triangle Desk' is the design work of Rui Sun, Wen Zhang, Guan-Chen Zhang, Er-Xuan Liu and Yu-Chao Li, and is the winner of the 2020 Golden Pin Design Award.
