The conceptual 'Levelled Induction Hob' has been designed by Jaewan Choi as a clever solution to a common cooking problem that is ideal for smaller living spaces or makeshift preparation areas. Featuring a multilevel design, the cooktop places one large pan or pot slightly above two smaller sections to allow up to three cookware pieces to be present on the surface at the same time. This allows the various parts of a larger meal to be cooked at the same time to get everything ready at once for enhanced efficiency.
Explaining the design, Choi said, "The Leveled Induction Cooktop maximizes the spatial efficiency by reducing the occupied space on cooktop area up to 20% comparing to the existing one with same the functional quality. It is designed to be compact in order to give extra space and to simplify the installation process comparing to those with gas stove as well. It is convenient because people can prepare various foods at the same time by specifying different intensity and time."
