The Level Smart Glasses are a Essentially Face-Fitting Fit Bit
Justin Lam — February 23, 2018 — Tech
The Level smart glasses are set to be the next big innovation in the activity tracking market. The smart classes will not display information like the Intel Vaunt, nor will it contain the recording features promised by Google Glass. Instead, these glasses simply track activity and calorie count. This simple concept may seem boring, but as an unobtrusive wearable piece of tech the Level smart glasses really stand out.
Inside each pair of Level glasses are a magnetometer, an accelerometer and a gyroscope, all of these items are housed nicely in the left temple. The tools all work to track movement, calories burned and total activity time. A Bluetooth connection is used to pair the Level smart glasses to a phone app which stores and displays all the data gathered from the glasses. The platform has already been tested at the University of Southern California's Center for Body Computing which resulted in amazing success among tested users.
