Updating an old coat can be simple with fabric paint and sponges in this leather jacket DIY. Pick a motorcycle-styled jacket, preferably one with mixing textures like this faux-leather bodice and lace sleeves and the rest is rather simple. Purchase gold fabric paint, a sponge, scissors, double sided tape and a timbal on hand. Begin by cutting the sponge into a diamond shape and attach it to the end of the timbal using the double sided tape. Paint the gold fabric paint on top of the sponge and place lightly onto the front flaps of the motorcycle jacket. Place the detailing where ever you desire.
