As I sit here with my hefty storage device next to me, I can truly appreciate the new LaCie Float Hard Drive for its multitalented nature. The black backup box can store 1TB of data, just a simple USB 3.0 connection away from sharing with your computer, and the top of it also acts as sensitive multi-touch trackpad to clear that mouse from your desk.
The data storage device is made from carbon fiber and glass, taking technology towards more eco-friendly manufacturing practices. The transparent base of the LaCie Float Hard Drive will even light up to provide an ambient glow depending on its observation of the level of the room's illumination. Designed by André Duarte Silva, this laptop accessory is at the top of my tech must-have list.
