Dutch designer Nathalie Teugel has created a chair that utilizes kinetic energy. Using this energy, the chair charges the user's smartphone while they move.
Titled the 'Moov Chair,' this innovative piece of smart furniture promotes active living. The chair comes outfitted with a battery that thrives off of kinetic energy as well as a USB port where users can connect their smartphone or tablet charger cables. Its USB port is attached to the chair's armrest while there is no visual place for the device to be rested so it is suggested that all charging devices be kept nearby.
This chair makes a great furniture piece for the office as it allows users to active their limbs after long hours of sitting down.
