Sculpture artist Bart Vargas has created a collection of keyboard art pieces that reflect society's relationship with technology. Each artwork is created entirely out of discarded computer keyboard buttons. Vargas used thousands of keys to construct maps, globes, skulls and bombs in this series called 'E-Waste.'
By utilizing a material that is used daily but is often overlooked, it creates a thought-provoking display of how society is so technologically connected. The bland color of the keys add to the overall nostalgic feeling of the artwork. Each color represents a different model of computer that was once new and exciting but is now outdated and useless.
The keyboard art is a representation of society's continuous progression and technological advancement.
