The futon is one piece of furniture that has just been begging for a makeover, which is exactly what the Karup Hippo provides. Basically, this designs turns the futon into an even more multifunctional piece of furniture than it previously was, adding decor to its impressive list of uses.
This is achieved by getting rid of the static frame that provided the traditional futon with structure and support. Instead, the Karup Hippo futon is simple a pile of different sized cushions that fit together like one big puzzle to become either a lounge, an armchair or even a bed.
Designed by Ida Sofie Gøtzsche Lange, Anne-Sofie Voss, Lars Wigh, Troels Rask Pedersen and Anders Backe, the Karup Hippo futon a must-have for all homes.
