Wired Magazine calls the Pano "both sex and art" and The Wall Street Journal Online says "This tiny box may replace PCs." It's a computer that has no CPU, no memory, no operating system and no drivers? This is referred to as zero client. The Pano, in essence, moves all desktop software to the server. It is also eco-friendly as it consumes only 3% of the energy consumed by a traditional desktop computer.
Implications - Pano is unique because it is built specifically for desktop virtualization. By moving all software off the server's desktop, the Pano has no CPU, memory, drivers or operating system. Thanks to server virtualization, however, it still runs smoothly in Microsoft Windows.
That's impressive technology.
