The $1,800 Inedible Gummi Bear Jellio 'Mini Candelier'
Amelia Roblin — October 30, 2010 — Art & Design
The makers of the limited edition ‘Candelier Chandelier’ have designed this Jellio ‘Mini Candelier’ in response to an overwhelming interest in the pendant lamp composed of 5,000 gummy bears.
The Jellio ‘Mini Candelier’ is 17 inches in diameter -- about half the size of the original -- and made up of a whopping 3,000 pieces of "candy" surrounding compact florescent light bulbs. At $1,800, sadly the Jellio ‘Mini Candelier’ is not edible; the colorful treats are 1-inch acrylic replicas of the beary popular candy.
