For those of you not familiar with Melissa, the famous plastic footwear brand based in Brazil, you certainly will be now after you learn about the exclusive and drool-worthy Jason Wu Melissa collection. Following in the footsteps of Vivienne Westwood, Gareth Pugh, and Jean Paul Gaultier, Jason Wu will be the first American to collaborate with this unique footwear label.
Essentially, the Jason Wu Melissa collection is comprised of two styles that conform to iconic Melissa silhouettes -- the Ultragirl ballet flat and the Lady Dragon peep-toe slingback. Made out of the label's signature thermoplastic material, both shoes are incredibly functional and waterproof. Each style will be available in black, burgundy, nude and a transparent gray, enhanced with coveted Wu details such as a sunburst, owl and even a printed-lace image along the insoles.
