For Jamie Oliver's restaurant opening soon in Hong Kong, the restauranteur employed the popular artist Barlo to put on a few finishing touches in terms of art.
The result is the Foo Dog, a mythical creature that usually guards palaces and castles. Considering this restaurant is located in Hong Kong where many people take spirituality very seriously, this is the ideal piece to finish off the overall design. The design was completed with spray paint for the restaurant, with bright colors and interesting swirls used for a memorable effect. One goal of this work is to surprise guests when they come in, which will most likely happen since the piece looks slightly out of place in the entranceway.
