The Miami Innovation District is a project, led by noted developer Michael Simkins and designed by SHoP Architects and West 8, that will host a diverse blend of businesses. Welcoming tiny startups and large businesses, the district will aim to complement the local community while promoting sustainable economic growth.
Once completed, the development will offer 358,000 square meters of office space designed for tech companies. There will also be 223,000 square meters of residential space for housing the employees of these companies, with affordable micro apartments being made available.
However the centerpiece of the Miami Innovation District will be the Miami Innovation Tower, a gorgeous sculpted tower that will feature retail, gardens, restaurants, a viewing deck and more. Clearly this development will both foster innovation and business whilst looking good doing it.
