Mechanical Pixel designed the inkReader duo, which is a concept device that uses E ink and boasts the compact size of a phone. The design suggests bringing a dual screen to the market which looks like it features two sides that connect with a 360-degree hinge.
It also functions like such but when one side is taken off, the device can be used as a single screen on its own. The second screen case is powered by the data from the main device through the Pogo pins. The design embodies the same feeling as carrying around a small book, open to writing down notes on one side and reading text on the other side for a streamlined experience.
