Uber has already established itself as the premier ridesharing app but a new partnership with Cargo is set to introduce an in-car vending service for Uber riders. Cargo has already been tested with Uber in New York, Baltimore and Atlanta, but this official partnership will now see the service being extended to San Francisco and Los Angeles. This new in-car vending service would essentially allow drivers to sell goods officially and would also allow them to keep a portion of the sales.
The current Cargo package offered to Uber drivers includes a collection of snacks, electronics and beauty products for free. The box can then be set up in the vehicle with customers purchasing items through Cargo's website. The in-car vending service will carry about 10 products and can easily be placed on the console between the driver and passenger seat.
