These Blaupunkt prototypes indicate a promising future for the prospect of in-dash Internet radio in cars. At this year's CES, Blaupunkt and miRoamer will announce their partnership, which makes these prototypes above look pretty good for production.
The two models are the New Jersey 600i and the Hamburg 600i, respectively. According to Wired, these head units will provide in-dash navigation of tens of thousands of miRoamer stations that are already available via computer and available for access by car starting on January 1, 2009.
I'm thrilled at the prospect of not having to use unwieldy cords and plugs to access Pandora on my iPhone in the car. Let's hope these in-dash head units come to fruition sooner rather than later.
