For the last several years, Red Bull has been scouring the globe for the most awe-inspiring extreme sports and action photography with the Red Bull Illume Photo Contest. This year's finalists are yet another impressive batch with the overall winner being Lorenz Holder, who submitted under the playground category. The people judging the competition must have had a hard time narrowing it down to fifty finalists with nearly 30,000 submissions from 124 countries.
Only the most tremendous photos made the final cut, which is why this year's entries will take your breath away. Photos include amazing shots like Holder’s shot of Rafi Ortiz descending the 132.5 ft tall Big Banana Falls in Mexico or Scott Serface’s shot of John Jackson snowboarding in Alaskan mountains. As always, the winning photos will travel the worlds for the next 18 months.
