Piers Taylor, the founder of British design firm Invisible Studio has designed the House in an Olive Grove defined by its concrete elements. The home is created for his family in Corfu, Greece and it is nestled in a rural olive grove with minimal design aesthetics. This speaks to the basic needs, only providing shelter, shaed, and a place to sleep while also ensuring the it is flexible to appeal to future changes as well.
Taylor shares, "I feel deeply connected to this place, the people, the culture and the landscape. The house is low-key, rooted in the ordinary and the everyday world of the surrounding shepherd's huts and unfinished concrete and reinforcement bar buildings that evolve slowly over many years. I use the campsite metaphor as this landscape encourages a completely different way of being that is very seasonal. The house gets packed away in winter, and set up again in spring."
