At the 2019 SEMA Autoshow, GM showcased a hot rod EV. The hot rod EV is titled, 'E-10,' and the company stated it is just a concept car and it will not be produced for consumers. However, GM did indicate that the conversion kit could become available to consumers who want to update old vehicles to run on electric power.
Russ O'Blenes, a Chevrolet Performance employee, spoke about the concept car, “The E-10 Concept builds on the experience and momentum generated by last year’s [Camaro] Concept, taking the idea of a ‘crate’ electric propulsion system further by leveraging actual production components.”
The car features two 400-volt batteries, that can produce 450 horsepower. The E-10 can accelerate to speeds of 60 mph within five seconds.
