If you have two seemingly disparate passions such as grilling steak and vintage cars, then there is probably no better way to combine them than creating a hot rod BBQ grill like this one.
Designed and built by a Colorado resident named Willie Elder, this 1939 Dodge pickup hot rod BBQ grill takes DIY upcycling to a whole new level of awesomeness. The grilling area is located in the old pickup's engine block, and through the use of some parts salvaged from other vintage vehicles, the entire apparatus is made to be a fully functioning grill complete with working wheels and plenty of room for expansion.
Willie Elder estimates that the entire project cost him less than a thousand dollars to complete, and he already has plans to add an ice box, a radio and a trailer hitch.
