The Tableau Irrigation System Mimics Nature's Treatment of Plants

The Tableau is an innovative home irrigation system, designed by Dutch start-up Pikaplant, that is based on nature's own method for keeping plants healthy. Rather than use a self-watering system like many of its competitors, this system attempts nature's wet-dry cycles, wherein the roots of the plant absorb water for a period of time before drying out.
Users simply has to ensure that the home irrigation contraption has water in the reservoir, and the system does the rest. Water flows into the base and is sucked up by the plants' roots. Once the plants use up all the water, the system stays dry so that the roots can dry out, before the watering cycle automatically kicks in.
This system is great for people who love plants but don't have the time, discipline or inclination to always stay on top of watering schedules.
